Driving global advocacy to double the rate of energy efficiency improvement by 2030
The Global Ambition Taskforce drives international advocacy and political momentum to double the global rate of energy efficiency improvement by 2030. It ensures that energy efficiency remains central to energy and climate discussions—from the G7 and G20 to COP and the Clean Energy Ministerial—in line with the Global Renewables and Energy Efficiency Pledge agreed at COP28.
Through coordinated advocacy, shared messaging, and collective action, the Taskforce unites governments, organizations, and businesses to raise ambition, align priorities, and turn political commitments into measurable progress. The Global Ambition Taskforce advances the Elevate pillar of Mission Efficiency, keeping efficiency at the top of global, regional, and national energy transition agendas.
